I forgot to take a photo of the prawns!
- the most obese, juicy and tasty prawns ever
and I forgot to take a photo of them at my bro-in-law’s wedding dinner on Saturday…
It was a tiring weekend for me cos of my own obesity, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was fun to be present at the wedding, although I didn’t really participate much since I kept a mental note to stay calm and relaxed.
Other after thots:
As it turned out, the tai-kam-jeh really looked like Lilian Too
- we had joked about hiring Lilian Too since CNY altho we meant tai-kam-jeh
Goes to show that names can really determine the person… hmm, better choose a name wisely for my baby!
Time waits for no man
- only feels like yesterday when the talk of the wedding started and now, ah so, another special occasion over!

Attended Hui Ting & John’s wedding in Toowoomba over the weekend. They are officially Mr & Mrs Wilson now. The best part was that the whole experience was typically Aussie and that I got to stay at John’s parents’ place… So that meant that I had a chance to participate in all the last minute preps and got to help run around town to buy stuff.
Also, on Saturday evening when everyone was exhausted, I volunteered to cook a Malaysian-style chap fan… I say chap fan because it was chicken/vege stir fry, omelette and fried rice… It was quite funny because at the last minute Hui Ting’s family called in for dinner, so I ended up cooking for a party of ten. That was FUN!
Totally enjoyed myself… Did the best I could to help out… after all, Arthur (John’s dad) came all the way to pick me up from Kogan Creek Power Station after work on Friday… That’s a 1.5 – 2 hour drive from Toowoomba…
Cecelia, John’s doting mom, did so much for the wedding. She made the wedding cakes and handsewed the wedding gown. She is a seamstress by profession and she has an eye for detail. The wedding cake with the sugar icing and floral arrangments etc… I thought it was one of those fake cakes you could easily arrange for a wedding like the ones in Malaysia… But it was the most delicious homemade fruit cake I’d ever tasted. The paddy cakes were made from a special white chocolate recipe – I must have had 3 or 4!
The Bestman (George) was amazing. A gentleman in every sense of the word and I think he kept the wedding spirit going. Liam (ring-bearer) was down with rashes but pulled himself together for the walk down the aisle with his mama (Fiana) who was the matron of honour.
Well, congratulations to the Wilsons!

Good news is always meant to be shared.
My mom forgot to take the cash off the ATM yesterday, and well, thank God, the money was retracted into the machine. She suffered no monetary loss.
Another piece of good news is that I’m all packed for honeymoon and my training stint. (Haven’t packed for Aussie though).

I’ll be taking a break… was a long weekend!
Benny and I celebrated our wedding banquet amidst fun, laughter and had a wonderful reunion with family & friends.
It was great to see those who had come from so far… Benny’s couz Ai Lian came from the States. My own couz Kimberly rushed back from the UK after her convocation on 7th July. Then there was Le-Hua & Benjamin from Melbourne. Lotsa MGS gals made their way from KL while some family and friends came in from Singapore, Alor Setar, Bukit Mertajam, Sandakan, Malacca, KL etc…![]()
I was particularly happy to see my school teachers, Ms Tai, Ms Chuah, Mrs Choo, Mrs Ng… Yee Lin couldn’t make it, but I was happy to see her mom, Aunty Frances…![]()
I already have some pics from the wedding dinner courtesy of Daniel Mun… oh yeah, it was cool to meet his galfren for the 1st time… sweet Ipoh gal by the name of Meng Li. However, I’m waiting for my photographer, Danny Chew, to mail us his photos… Can’t wait to see the pro-pics…
My couz Daniel Lee has grown up so suddenly! I’ll remember to post pics of him up.
ALL THE BLESSINGS, HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD!!
Benny and I are happy to be back in JB… time to recouperate.
I need to sleep… ![]()

Been going through the wedding photos over and over again!
You know what? Photos taken during the wedding are way more awesome than those taken in the bridal studio… Because those captured at the wedding, freeze the emotional moments for a lifetime! *Hint* Don’t waste too much money adding on more photos for the bridal studio album…
Poses with loved ones, candid shots, all digital records of the real thing, the real day… wow!
Simply amazing! Praise God that all the photos turned out well…
After the Penang dinner & tea ceremony are over, I hope to compile the photos into another album. Maybe get it professionally printed.
I’m so excited!
I LOVE PHOTOS!
