The word resonating in my brainwaves today is “GOALS”. Short term goals. For people who are usually disorganized, setting short term goals instead of long term ones can actually help you improve in your personal organization skills.
Short term goals start with a simple “Point A” (where you are now) and “Point B” (where you’d like to be by the… end of the year?… end of the month?)
As you graduate from Point A to Point B, what are the changes in lifestyle and skills which you should expect. And in thinking in-line with that, what do you think you need to do to prepare yourself for those changes?
Then make a list.
I’ll stop preaching. Here’s my list.
For end of the month…
- Finish up discussions in workplace – before I head to Paka in May
- Make an inventory of things I need to bring to KL
- Plan handover process and people I need to speak to both in work and in church
- Finalize English Service Family Day and have fun!
- Write the long-overdue article on the Family Plant Tour
- Take enough rest and pray my tummy ache days away
- Organize all the e-mails in my folders
- In view of my TMNet account cancellation, update my e-mail addresses at relevant websites
- Prepare Worship Song List for May 04
- Write an e-mail to Dr Ong so that he knows I’m still interested to do my Masters with him
- Change the bedsheets
- Plan to organize one more “Worship Leading in a Cell Group” session for TnT
- Eat another round of Salmon Brocolli Sandwich and have dinner at Nyijumaru
- Review my household budget for 2nd half of the year
- Go to Singapore one last time before I move to KL…

By the end of this week, I would have done the following:
- Attend Ingo’s farewell party *sniff*
- Finish off a bulk of open points *yay*
- Eat another delicious hot dog from Chinchilla *done today*
- Pack my parcel to send home *done yesterday*
- Confirm my flight ticket again *tapping fingers in anticipation*
- Attend the Siemens camp party *orite!*
- Drive up to Gayndah, the Citrus capital of Australia *waiting*
- Buy peanuts from Kingaroy *can’t wait*
- Discuss my return trip to Australia with the boss *hope it’s not an extension without this hometrip*
- Buy another bottle of Jimbour wine *maybe*
Note to self: How odd… when I have a Youtube, public comments on my ext site are not possible…

It’s not over ok…
The wedding hype…
I still have the tea ceremony in Penang followed by a dinner… What’s the kinda stress going through my pea-brain now? Well, I think I’m starting to worry because I’ll be reusing the same gowns in Penang… would I look good twice in the same outfits?
Anyway… which bride isn’t vain?

Two major tasks at hand today…
#1 Prepare presentation for HAPUA forum (Jan ’07) – Lord, I’m gonna finish early and celebrate Christmas with no stress! Head of ASEAN Power Utilities/Authorities – That’s what HAPUA stands for. Out of 30+ presentations only 25 will be shortlisted – so there is some pressure there. I think my draft presentation (Round 1 only) went well yesterday, boss looked happy. Some cosmetic touches and additional info, then it’ll be Round 2. I must admit
that I actually like doing these presentations. Bring them on.
#2 Annual Dinner – I’m the MC again
Well, found last year’s photo of myself at the mike. Atta-girl – I control who eats and who doesn’t get to eat! As usual, for annual dinner, the ever-generous YTLPS will give away 10th Year Service Awards… My reliable powerpoint man is on overseas assignment so I nearly had to make the presentation by myself… but God always provides, right Idris?
I hope the next time I write my blog, I’ll have a better photo of myself ok… stop throwing that frown at me up there.
