OK OK… I think I’m really into blue… I think it’s cos I’ve been working on some company stuff and been seeing a lot of blue – it’s our company colour along with silver and gray.
Right… if I have time during lunch… gotta go to the tailor and fix a hem… maybe even order a baju kurung kedah for myself.
… i’m just wondering whether i can find some really nice fabric for the dress at the tailor’s.
ok back to work. haven’t touched my assignment for two days… so much work to do.

I totally forgot that when I’m bored, I can blog…
BLog, bLog, blOg, bloG…
Was just *admiring* my photos from the weekend, and I especially like the size of the squash (see picture) and the bright yellow. We don’t have this vege in Malaysia. The lady selling it (see yesterday’s blog) explained that squash tastes like zuchinni plus, if it’s this size, people usually stuff it with minced beef and bake it. Well, I happily told her I wasn’t about to try it but I appreciated the lesson… this was the first vege that caught my eye back in March.
March… can you believe it? I’ve been in Chinchilla since March this year… with a 10-week holiday away from this quiet country for my wedding.
One of my favourite things to do when I’m in Chinchilla is to probe and *menyibuk* about others… and the best way to do it? By reading their blogs.
I realised a trend… teens seem to have very emo blogs, my peers always blog about their jobs, quitting their jobs, their kids, and their hobbies… my church friends are rather contemplative and reflective in their blogs… my Yahoo 360! friends have the best blogs… they have colourful lives and inventive blogs. I’ve seen online parties, the Friday Five, recipes, polls and beautiful photographs.
Sigh… yellow squash… a bright colour but you have such an emo-name… squash…
Four specific people I know just crossed my mind… Word association playing in my head after typing s-q-u-a-s-h…
- Person #1: THE SQUASHER: Pretends to care… Pretends to show concern… pretends pretends pretends… If you really care for me, great. If not, stop pretending!
- Person #2: THE SQUASHED: This person is smart, socially popular but has lack of self-esteem. How I wish I could tell you how special you are little one.
- Person #3: TO BE SQUASHED: Everyone’s favourite enemy, asking for it. Although you’ve not offended anyone since that last incident. Hehe…
- Person #4: FELLOW-SQUASH: We’ve laughed together, had fun together, gone places…reminisce of good old roomie days. I can picture the both of us now in a bright yellow room full of plastic toy squash, jumping up and down… squealing in delight!
So tell me… have you met any of the four types of squash… Tell me!

Hehe… cherry tomatoes… my favourite!
Had an absolutely fantastic weekend!
FRIDAY
It kicked off on Friday. I was in a dull place – the Chinchilla RSL (DJ night, but still boring)… The most entertaining part of the night was the MTV’s they were screening on TV. Other than that, it was the usual townsfolk catching up with their mates… Boring… right? But I enjoyed my evening, because I was in good company… plus it was my last weekend hanging out with the gang. I foresee that I would be busy in the weeks to come!
SATURDAY
I finally went to Jimbour Station. A lovely place on the quiet slopes about 25 km from Dalby. They had the most lovely garden there plus the cellar door offered free wine tasting. I bought a bottle of Carbonet-Merlot-Shiraz… A three-in-one best to drink chilled. Made from Jimbour’s grapes, it was the most fruity wine I’d ever tasted. It was a fabulous outing – filled my camera with lots of photos and breathed in some delicious country fresh air.
SUNDAY
Weekend ends here… Lots of work to do today… Dismantling and transporting stuff… whew! I must have carried 10 sets of computers at least today…
Photo taken at a roadside stall along Chinchilla’s country roads

My day off and the groceries got done in Toowoomba. What a wonderful day today was! We’ve had such hot yet unpredictable weather for days now. There was a tornado in Jandowae which is about 100km from my place, and hail around most of Queensland. However, it was clear blue skies on my day off!
The temperature was moderate at 22 deg C, which was perfect for a stroll in town.
While waiting for my friend to pay for his groceries, I enjoyed the calm, peaceful afternoon view of Clifford Gardens (carpark)… I was at Aldi, my favourite place for groceries. (Aldi is a supermarket chain from Germany)
I just love clear blue skies.
Anyway, happy 150th ALDI. Didn’t know you were in Australia that long…

It was freezing today. The night before was bearable with the help of my comforter. Although it was 9 deg C, I was indoors, you see. But it was so cold that I barely made it pass 10 pm without falling asleep. I think I went into hibernation but was forced to wake up when the alarm rang. But today… wowz!
We had to turn on the heater in the car, heater in the office and still it took a while for my body to warm up. And to think it was only 12 deg C in the morning, compared to last night.
Here I am in my bedroom again, blogging… No air-cond for me tonight, but still am surviving fine without the heater on in the comforts of my room.
I have officially moved over to a different job scope. Hanns is leaving Chinchilla (he’s so happy) and I inherited all his groceries – God is so good, God is so good, He’s so good to me… He sent me Hanns, He sent me Hanns, God is so good, He’s so good to me!
It’s like being in the wilderness, and manna just rains down upon you.
Two of my Malaysian friends are also leaving and well, I’m staying put till June. So, today, while waiting for new tasks, I decided to update my travel blog on Virtualtourist.com. Put up a travelogue on Hanoi and Brisbane. PLUS, I finally put something up on Penang. Funny that I never thought of writing about my hometown. Guess I wouldn’t call travelling home, travelling.
I hope all of you back home in Malaysia had a restful day. It is Labour Day after all, but well, I’ll be waiting till 7th May for mine over here. Having some friends over and well, you guessed right! I’ll be organizing a BBQ! Yippee! again…
