I didn’t take this photo… but anyway this is the view of Penang Bridge on a rainy day… It’s been raining continuously since I arrived yesterday… gonna have a cosy lunch with family at home…
Made a chicken steak sandwich for brekky which was awesome… felt like i was in Toowoomba in Cecelia’s kitchen… which reminds me… my roaster n coffee maker are still with my cousin inĀ Aussie…
It’s alright… Time to finish up my brekky…

Hahaha…. silly pic… haven’t taken a photo with Benny in ages, so decided to snap one…
Nice to be “married” again… we’ve been separated for almost a month due to work, leading bachelor lives… back together again for a week long holiday.
ANywAys… to all my Muslim friends, SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI…
As for me, gosh… HOLIDAYS always means more eating… hopefully i get my work done – that law assignment is killing me!

It’s not over ok…
The wedding hype…
I still have the tea ceremony in Penang followed by a dinner… What’s the kinda stress going through my pea-brain now? Well, I think I’m starting to worry because I’ll be reusing the same gowns in Penang… would I look good twice in the same outfits?
Anyway… which bride isn’t vain?

The highlights on 08.07.07

- All the crazy TNT photos
- The restaurant food which was simply unbeatable

Was on Yahoo! chat with fellow colleagues who are all over the world on assignments… Majority in the Middle East where there is life after sunset… Me here, well, life ends at 5 p.m.
Without any supper place…
No mamak… I boast about this to my colleagues here often. They have no idea what they are missing. The late night hang-out meal with good friends, noisy chats over all sorts of roti pratha (my mom’s favourite is roti tisu, while mine is roti pisang)… over milo shake…. sigh… at least in Kogan Creek pantry, Milo is available! Thank God for Milo!![]()
If you don’t like mamak because crazy football fans gather there to gawk for hours at the big illegal(?) screen, and because you think the food’s too greasy… there are always the Chinese hawker centers where you can order a late night *pau* (Dumpling bread thingy), or order an oyster omelette, cuttlefish salad… or hey, my all time favourite… grilled chicken wings… If you must eat noodles or rice or even bah-kut-teh, it’s not a problem…
Malaysians… we eat 24 hours and there is life as long as there is food. Ho-chiak!! (Hockkien equivalent of the Japanese oishi)
For now, I’ll leave you with the above picture taken at Northam Beach Cafe hawker paradise, Penang Island.

Necessity because… how else could you ascend and descend Penang Hill and admire the monkeys, bungalows and flora.
Yes, it’s the photo of the Penang Hill funicular train… there are four trains in total. They function via cable pulling each as a counterweight of the other… The descending one propelled by gravity in turn raises it’s counterpoint. Four trains, because the first pair takes tourists to Middle Station and the second pair to Top Station.![]()
Why am I blogging about Penang Hill? Because it’s five minutes from the home I spent 17 years of my life in…![]()
No, because most of my colleagues here at Kogan Creek Power Station have no idea how beautiful Penang is and what is so special about my island.
So the photos are dedicated to my friends who may venture there hopefully before their next remote overseas assignment.
