Hoorah! Hoorah! Brace yourselves… I’m making history.
This is my first blog entry since I exported my blog from Yahoo! Geocities to WordPress. Well, this might be an appropriate opportunity to explain what happened.
Well, all the blog entries before this one were created in Yahoo! 360 and fed to my Geocities site, which I’ve had since my uni days… Those days, I was into websites (cos there was no such thing as weblogs). Now Yahoo! has decided to shut down Geocities and has converted Yahoo! 360 to Yahoo! Profiles ala Facebook.
The recommended substitute for all bloggers was WordPress.com… which is like a ciku version
of WordPress.org… limited functionality, themes, widgets, not flexible at all… I can’t even specify my file names and path. How sad is that! With Geocities, I could do anything…. I was the manager… Now I’m being managed. How’s that for change!
Well, we must always make do, if we still insist on freebies. So sulk I may, but change I will…
So, let’s see how great this blog will be from now. Of course, I could have gone over to blogspot… but the Yahoo! archive wasn’t compatible to blogspot… so I didn’t even bother to go there!
Hmm
what about exporting from WordPress to blogspot… Muahahahaha! Nvm, I’ll give WordPress a shot for now… At least it can display my Twits…
Alrite then, I’m soaking in excitement… Let’s submit this entry… I’m blogging from Yahoo! by the way… old habits die hard.
Note to self: Looks like the smileys worked… but colours didn’t, picture was left aligned… now manually centred… overall, not bad… still better than blogging in WordPress!

Hey everyone, after today I won’t be a Control & Instrumentation Engineer anymore. Wow, that’s the designation I’ve held for six years. I haven’t been told my new designation. It’s a “surprise”.
I’m gonna miss…
…the whole gang and the fun we’ve had together figuring things out
…walking around the plant from UCA to UST multiple times in a day
…parking my car in my usual spot and waving to the guards
…eating gan-lau-pan-mian-la at Wan Li, chicken rice at Hwa Sun and Sarawak Laksa at the Longhouse
…intellectual debate sessions over daily news and nothing
…looking out for new ships and activities going on next door
…the simplicity of power station life
I’m not gonna miss
…the sandblasting effects on my car from MMHE (formally known as MSE)
…the potholes on the road (well, maybe… a little)
…the countless accidents and deaths I’ve seen on the road
Won’t get to say goodbye and shake the hands of Ves & Siew because they on overseas delegation. So sad! Wish they could be here.

It’s time to uproot my home. For the next 6 months or so, there would be lots of preparations towards building a home (not in the physical sense of actually constructing one). If it hasn’t occured to you, this is the start of my 7th year in Johor Bahru.
That’s right, I’m into my seventh year already!
But I’m leaving.
I started work in Pasir Gudang on 03 June 2002 and it’s time to shift to KL.
Life in JB has been fascinating. Learning to survive on Mandarin and JB food wasn’t easy but I’ve sort of found my way around. Made lots of friends, had lots of adventures and most of all, discovered more of God.
Well… I can’t wait for my next chapter. But I realise now, I’m gonna spend hours rebuilding home… again…

Anticipation.
That’s what life really should be about.
Waiting, hoping, trusting that what God promises in His word will come to pass.
Knowing that our future is secure in Him, that He has it all laid out.
Waiting in anticipation because something good is going to happen.

30th April – the very last day of the month of April. How can it be? Time must have sprouted an extra pair of wings. This means that in less than 2 months, I’ll be working from a new desk in a new office in KL.
Today also happens to be the eve of English Service Family Day. According to the latest statistics, 202 ppl have signed up for the event. If we consider that approx 25 ppl are helpers/organizers/committee members, that’s still almost 180 ppl who are purely participants. We’re expecting about 40 kids so that means an average of 4-5 kids per team if we break the group into 8-10 teams. We’re expecting around 20-30 to join the Gold Class activities… WOWZ… we’ll have about 150-160 at the station games…
Now I just have to pray that everyone comes early.
In the meantime, I have one more pressing matter to pray about. Selling my JB house since I’ll be moving to KL. It was 90% settled but now something has cropped up and I’ll have to look for another buyer.
Nevertheless Lord, remember I asked for nothing but only your wisdom? Thanks Lord that whatever I ask for in Your name, if I believe it… I’ll receive it.
