Hoorah! Hoorah! Brace yourselves… I’m making history. 39.gif

This is my first blog entry since I exported my blog from Yahoo! Geocities to WordPress. Well, this might be an appropriate opportunity to explain what happened.

Well, all the blog entries before this one were created in Yahoo! 360 and fed to my Geocities site, which I’ve had since my uni days… Those days, I was into websites (cos there was no such thing as weblogs). Now Yahoo! has decided to shut down Geocities and has converted Yahoo! 360 to Yahoo! Profiles ala Facebook.

The recommended substitute for all bloggers was WordPress.com… which is like a ciku version 02.gif of WordPress.org… limited functionality, themes, widgets, not flexible at all… I can’t even specify my file names and path. How sad is that! With Geocities, I could do anything…. I was the manager… Now I’m being managed. How’s that for change!

Well, we must always make do, if we still insist on freebies. So sulk I may, but change I will…

So, let’s see how great this blog will be from now. Of course, I could have gone over to blogspot… but the Yahoo! archive wasn’t compatible to blogspot… so I didn’t even bother to go there!

Hmm 33.gif what about exporting from WordPress to blogspot… Muahahahaha! Nvm, I’ll give WordPress a shot for now… At least it can display my Twits…

Alrite then, I’m soaking in excitement… Let’s submit this entry… I’m blogging from Yahoo! by the way… old habits die hard.

Note to self: Looks like the smileys worked… but colours didn’t, picture was left aligned… now manually centred… overall, not bad… still better than blogging in WordPress!

I found the hidden bug in my webpage… My chatbox. It is temporarily disabled until I fix the bug  Sigh… Well, like I said, the plus point is, I have activated my blog for public comments. Oh yes, the other thing is… I’ve have to activate the entries one by one… So I’ve decided to just leave the older entries alone.  Laziness.

I think for the past few months, my blog must have become suddenly quite popular… cos I’ve had friends from different phases of my life COMPLAINING that they can’t leave comments on my blog…

Well… that’s because, I’m blogging from Yahoo 360! and I’ve reserved my precious comments space for my buddies in 360! So… maybe it’s time for me to take the next step and allow the public to comment.

OK then… I’m as open as this bottle tree… Photo taken in Jimbour over last weekend…

I’m testing… If I get lotsa messages, I’ll activate comments forever then…

Sense of achievement! Spent the whole morning changing the look of my blog… What am I rambling about…

Well, for the benefit of those of you who are in Yahoo! 360, I have an external blog. And for those of you who are enjoying the new look, this IS my external blog… Confused? I’m blogging from Yahoo! 360 ok… but I have linked my blog to Geocities… Comprende?

Busy day ahead… Have to prepare for Thai Suki! Drool… Yummmyyy yummmmyyyyy.

Photo of volcano taken at Kintamani (Bali) truly reflects my feelings at this very moment. I have a new look! YAY!

She’s from Australia and it’s amazing to see her pictures, read her stories and occasionally view pictures sent in from all over the world to her… There’s one with the Northern Lights (Aurora) which was just beautiful!
