Today was the best day I’d ever had in Chinchilla… Not only did I get to see the official opening ceremony of the Kogan Creek Power Project, I also got to meet the Premier of Queensland – Anna Bligh. Our conversation was short but sweet…

Premier: Hello, and you are?

Me: Sara

Premier: I see (looking at my name tag) that you’re with Siemens Hitachi.

Me: Yes, that’s right

Premier: And what part did you play in the Kogan Creek project?

Me: I&C Control System commissioning

Premier: So are you part of the team that is transitioning out of here or are you joining the permanent workforce?

Me: Oh, I’ll be transitioning out of here.

Premier: And where do you go to after this?

Me: Malaysia

Premier: I see, well nice meeting you and thank you.

Me: Thank you
